Dear tiny Lord baby Jesus...
Yes, I finally saw Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. It rocked my world, Gary Cole in particular. I love him anyway, but he was awesome in this. Even better than he was in Dodgeball, which completely cracked me up.
McKay and Mrs. Miller made me happier than I can put into words. Finally, an alternate reality that is kind to McKay! If you remember, in one alternate reality he was killed, and in an alternate timeline he was an even bigger asshole than he is now. But in this realilty, he was cool. His hair was all spiked up and he was so laidback. But you know, even with all of that (and the hot leather jacket), I still like "our" Rodney better. I love how mean he is and how he puts everyone down and is a complete egomaniac. That's what drew me to the character in the first place--I am just drawn to guys who act like assholes. Deep down inside, I think they really just want to be loved, and that's what attracts me to them--the mean stuff is just bravado to hide their insecurities, and there's nothing more attractive in a man than a little vulnerability.
Mom was happy because they said that the Sheppard in Rod's reality was really involved in Mensa, and she's been hoping that they won't abandon those little tidbits about Sheppard being a genius, particularly at math. Her love of Sheppard scares me--it might even be greater than my love for McKay.
I fixed the computer. I had to--I just couldn't handle it. I like things to be a certain way. Kris didn't seem too concerned, so I had to take care of it myself. But if he ever does it again, he better hope that Tom Cruise will come down with his witchcraft and take the fire off of him.
Crap, gotta go! New Simpsons! (Then new Family Guy and American Dad! Yay TV!)
"Wow! Your mother must dance at the nicest strip joint in town!"
